In a surprising twist that has fans buzzing, Bethenny Frankel has voiced her support for the original cast of "Real Housewives of New York City" (RHONY) as they gear up to make their triumphant return on Bravo's competitor, E! Network.
In a lively TikTok video posted Saturday, Frankel posed the question, "What’s my take on the Housewives transitioning to E! for a reboot in an original format?" Her enthusiastic response was nothing short of exuberant. "I think it’s absolutely fantastic! E! came in with a fierce attitude, boldly stating, ‘These women are far from washed up, so let’s bring them back into the spotlight!’"
At the age of 55, Frankel couldn’t help but add a humorous note about her former co-star, 69-year-old Ramona Singer. She quipped that Singer would soon emerge "from hibernation like a bear, ready to feast."
Frankel also hinted at the possibility that her friend Jill Zarin, aged 62, played a significant role in making this exciting revival happen. "I’m thrilled for all of them!" she exclaimed, showcasing her genuine excitement for the project.
Despite her approval, it remains uncertain why Frankel, who was a prominent figure on RHONY from its inception in 2008 until 2019, will not be part of this new venture. Recently, the founder of Skinnygirl made headlines for moving from Connecticut to Florida, a decision influenced by her daughter Bryn’s heartfelt request during a conversation on her podcast, "Just B."

Unfortunately, Frankel’s representatives were unavailable for immediate comment when approached by Page Six.
This announcement follows reports from Page Six indicating that the original RHONY cast—comprised of Zarin, Singer, Luann de Lesseps (60), Sonja Morgan (62), and Kelly Bensimon (57)—has inked a deal to create a new show for E!, which is anticipated to premiere by the end of 2026.
In 2023, this same group made an attempt to revive their iconic show with "Real Housewives of New York: Legacy," but that project stalled due to financial concerns.
The first season of RHONY debuted in 2008, featuring faces like Luann, Ramona, Zarin, Frankel, and Alex McCord. After a remarkable 15-year run, the show was ultimately canceled last year following Bravo’s efforts to refresh the series with a new cast.
So, what do you think about the original RHONY cast making a comeback on a different network? Could this be a game-changer for reality television, or do you believe their time has passed? Share your thoughts in the comments!
